Mindy May, formerly of Houston-based Yacht Rock USA (2019-2025) and Texas Avenue Band (2017-2018), has been singing since the age of five.

A high school English teacher by day, she spends most weekends serving in the worship collective at her church. Some of her most beloved musical icons include powerhouses Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Nicks. Mindy's favorite genres to perform are yacht rock, Motown/soul, and now, folk and blues with her newest musical partner, Stephen Houpt.
