Artist story and creative journey
As a Printmaker, I create illusions. Carving into wood, etching into metal, and manipulating ink across the matrix, I create graphic images that allow you to believe in the story I present.

Inspiration and artistic perspective
Inspired by nature, fueled by passion for the process of printmaking. Forty five years experimenting, refining, and creating works on paper, I am a problem solver, I am a Print Maker.

Creative process
I practice three of the four basic Printmaking processes, Relief, Intaglio, and Planography. I am most fulfilled when working on a woodcut. I may start with a scribble on paper, then enlarge the subject to a block of wood, but it is only when I begin gouging and carving into the surface that the essence of the image takes formation.

Experiences that shape my work
It is not that Life has shaped my art, more that ART has saved my life.

What would you like visitors to know about you
As an Atist Educator, I find connection through community, sharing ideas, technique, and space, creating conversation that would not otherwise happen. This is how we connect community and create peace.

Exhibitions and special activities
It is a Quiet year... time to work. As always, my works can be viewed in the Print Gallery at Paper Arts Tue-Sat, 11am - 4pm.
I will be participating in ART Mart at the Bathhouse Cultural Center, Nov. 20th, 21st, and 22nd.
